Gabrielle "Gabby" Douglas is an American artistic gymnast. As a member of the US Women's Gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, she won gold medals in both the individual and team all-around competitions. She was also a member of the gold-winning US team at the 2011 World Championships.
Martha Karolyi, the National Team Coordinator for USA Gymnastics, nicknamed Douglas the "Flying Squirrel" for her aerial performance on the uneven bars.
